I think the importance of getting popular/well-known as an underrepresented artist is the responsibility of reminding people of where we came from. ![]() everything and everyone started out as something special and it just takes others to take notice to feed it into the main. What do you think about the mainstreaming of queer culture?Īll mainstreams have always been fed by small streams. #dohashtagsevenworkanymore #myalgorithmisfckdanywayĪ post shared by Landon Cider DragKing on at 10:28am PDT Swipe for the OG pic for a sort-of #transformationtuesday post, I guess(?) □. I sat on the OG photo forever not knowing how to edit it (video edits: I'm learning…photos edits: I still have absolutely NO CLUE! □♀️□) so I eventually sent it over to and told him to do whatever he wanted with it. And frankly, I’m damn proud of myself.īefore I realized how much work/time would go into cranking out digital drag content, I had time to play with some new-ish makeup from to film some vids. I don’t entirely reflect our massive sea of kings because there are artists out there doing things I could never dream of doing! Representing a subculture within a subculture always comes with heavy responsibilities but I could only do my drag and do it my best.
